The Project: Making laundry time easier and cheaper
The why
We want to be as self-sufficient as possible and to avoid spending lots of $$$ for laundry. In 2022, it cost us $1.75 USD for a wash load and $1.75 USD for a dryer load (which usually needed two runs).
The cost
We bought our machine from Amazon for $289.
The result
Happiness! Our laundry machine is perfect for washing all of our clothes. The wash takes 9 minutes a load and the spin takes 3 minutes. The clothes come out almost dry from spinning so air drying only takes a few hours. Having a portable laundry machine has definitely become one of our must-haves on board.
And energy use - well it is pretty lightweight in how much power it consumes. WE don't even blink an eye on using the washing machine a few times a week, for all of our laundry.
